In Bostock v. Clayton County, the United States Supreme Court held that “firing individuals because of their sexual orientation or transgender status violates Title VII’s prohibition on discrimination because of sex.” On the anniversary of the decision, the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (“EEOC”) compiled and released new resources for employees and businesses regarding sexual orientation and gender identity (“SOGI”) discrimination.
