In a recent edition of the Wall Street Journal podcast, Tech News Briefing, reporter Robert McMillan profiled Matthew Van Andel. Van Andel is a former Disney employee who downloaded a plug-in from GitHub, only to find it contained “Trojan Horse” malware which enabled the hacking of his personal and work accounts. While Disney deemed the impact immaterial to the company, Van Andel suffered greater consequences after the hacker gained access to his personal passwords and more. What are you doing to guard against cyberattacks? And are you prepared in the event your company data is encrypted (such that you and your employees lose access, either temporarily or long-term) or your confidential information is compromised?
