Pregnancy Protection Act Under Consideration

The U.S. House of Representatives passed the Pregnant Workers Fairness Act (H.R.2694) on September 17th. The Act would require employers of 15 or more to make reasonable accommodations for limitations related to pregnancy, childbirth, and related medical conditions save for “undue hardship.” It is unclear whether the bill will pass in the Senate, but it bears noting that it did receive bipartisan support in the House.
