The U.S. Department of Labor has announced that its new overtime rule may be released in October 2022 with changes to the Fair Labor Standards Act executive, administrative, and professional exemptions. The new rule could address a variety of factors—from the salary threshold (including automatic future adjustments) to the various duties tests. Watch this space.
