Managing COVID Risks – Small vs. Large Employers

President Biden’s Path Out of the Pandemic COVID-19 Action Plan highlights the differences between how small and large companies are managing COVID risk. For the largest employers, it is not too different than what they have already done. For small and mid-size employers, it sounds like additional mandates and other hurdles are on the horizon. A recent Business Journal survey suggests that, even before Biden’s plan, there were significant disparities correlating with business size. Of note in the survey were differences related to enforcement of COVID-related policies and how the Delta variant affected (or did not affect) the workplace and remote work strategies.
