Luddites in the 21st Century

In a recent blog post, Cal Newport offers his thoughts on today’s technological workplace tools and relates them to the transition from steam to electrical components in factories at the turn of the twentieth century. In both scenarios, and in a rather “organic” way, work became misaligned with new technologies and tools available. Consider the antiquated role of email in the modern workforce. How might we revisit the ways in which we use available technology to improve our work?
