Labor Regulations and More in the Crosshairs

The president’s plan to halt or repeal many regulations includes a number set forth by the Labor Department regarding eligibility for sick leave, as well as minimum wage and overtime considerations. Meanwhile, a National Labor Relations Board (NLRB) whistleblower spoke about Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) activities related to that department. While revealing nothing yet relating to purported waste or fraud at the NLRB (DOGE’s stated mission), early reports are that DOGE accessed sensitive information on “unions, ongoing legal cases and corporate concerns” and may have even allowed others to do so (by failing, either unwittingly or intentionally, to maintain security of NLRB systems).

Business Takeaway: If you have business before the NLRB, what might this mean for you?
