Engendering a Culture of Belonging

DEI training has become a hot topic in labor and employment and, as noted above, a political lightning rod. Much of this work is misunderstood, or done poorly. Some (including Karith Foster and Stephanie Creary) suggest that some of the DEI focus should shift to fostering a culture of belonging. By doing so, all involved can feel like they’re part of the conversation (vs. right or wrong).
